missing or broken reference to the file 'OWC10.DLL' version 1.1
« on: February 02, 2010, 01:44:18 pm »
One day our system was fine and the next we started getting this message "project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'OWC10.DLL' version 1.1."

We have a old version (4.3) running and don't have the funds to upgrade at this time.

We have no idea what went wrong and searching on Google has not helped us find a fix that has worked.

We are not able to find our original CD to try and locate the file on it or to reinstall on top the current install to see if that works as a fix.

I did e-mail the support folks but never got a response.

Any help you can provide would be great.

the file OWC10.DLL was either deleted, uninstalled or is no longer accessible.  This file is normally located in the following path.  Please make sure that the file is present.  C:/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/Web Components/10/OWC10.DLL

IntelliTrack does not install this file it is part of the Web Components for Office 2002.

Did you happen to have a full version of office 2002 and either uninstall it or upgrade it to a newer version.  Either one of those options would have removed all of the DLL's that would cause those errors.

Thank you

Would you occur to know about the OFFOWC.DLL losing with the same form of error?

Out of the pink the system just smashed with all these information.
