I have recently been put in charge of managing our company's equipment management system. Throughout the past few years several people have been adding item numbers and there is no consistency so I want to change all of the item numbers. However, I have only been able to move the information that is under each item number by copying the details into an excel spreadsheet and creating a new item number and then pasting the details into the new item numbers description detail window. Is there an easier and more efficient way to do this process? Also, is there a way that I can edit existing item numbers without getting an error every time I go to save it? Any help would be appreciated because I am stuck in a trench hole and can't get out!
