Use existing barcode ID

Is it possible to associate an existing barcode ID (for example, the barcode from the box of the product) and associate it with the Intellitrack product ID? We are using WMS version 8.0.

Yes you can either use the existing barcode ID as the item number in WMS or you can define your own item numbers and enter the barcode ID into the Alternate number field.

I have a situation where I have to track each piece of product by Serial number. I typically get a shipment of products, and would like to be able to scan just the existing serial number barcode, and add it to my inventory.

Is the scanner able to be set up in the following manner:

Item Type
     Item Sub Type
          Serial Number

When using the scanner, I'd like to Scan a location barcode (printed from software), then pick Item Type/Item Sub Type, and then start scanning barcodes for products, and then be able to have that added to a currently existing inventory (database set up in system).

Is IntelliTrack DMS able to do this?
