Have a Symbol_PPT 8800W the is syncing about 100 - 150 signatures at a time, but taking about an hour to an hour and a half to do so... it's connecting to an SQL server that is on the same network... Any halp would be appreciated ... doing the Math at 2-4k per signature 150 signatures should take less than a minute.  No other network slowness on this machine (XP btw)

If it's a serial connection between your PPT-8800 and the workstation, you might try increasing the speed.  If it's a USB connection the speed isn't adjustable, but try using a USB 2.0 port with the portable connected all by itself if possible, because USB port speeds default to the slowest device's speed.  The speed of download is not just signatures, but also includes most of the other tables (Packages, recipients, signatures, carriers, indexes, etc), connection overhead, processing times for file activity, etc.  The current version of Package Track creates and then copies a Microsoft Access MDB file down to the portable, and the conversion to CDB format also takes some time to complete, thus increasing the actual download time.  Archiving items decreases the file size and may also help you speed things up.  If none of these options work for you, consider contacting Tech Support to investigate what's causing the delays.
