Text Box does not accept ":" - Edited
« on: June 26, 2007, 08:27:00 pm »
Hi,

I need to type the character ":" in a text box, but when I try to type the data collector ignores it.
Is there a way of typing it?
I am using sclient v5.5.7 and I also tried v7.0 without success.

Regards,
Gustavo

The RFScannerKeyboardTextBox and RFScannerTextBox functions have an Input Mask parameter that can be set up to allow certain characters.

One can use the Mask to limit what is or what is not accepted.

Thanks!

Hi Bradp,

Thank you for your help, but I tried to type ?:? in a text box without mask.
Besides that, I think the masks available do not allow :.

Thank you,
Gustavo

The masks are just strings; you can define your own mask.  I tested in Check In-Out RF this morning and it does accept colons.

Hi leet,

Is it possible to set a user mask using version 5 of RF SDK? Because I did't find the method RFSetUserMask in this version.
I still have the same problem with colons. I'm using sclient v5.5.4 in a PSC Falcon 320, with CISCO Aironet PCMCIA card, and when a try to type a colon in a textbox, without mask, the data collector beeps and ignores it.

Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you,
Gustavo
