We need to rename several hundred BIN LOCATIONS in StockRoom 7 that we need to rename. What would be the easiest way to perform some sort of bulk rename. As well these BIN LOCATION already have Inventory associated with them. The user has been manually moving the data to new BIN LOCATIONS and then deleting the old BIN LOCATIONS, but this is tedious and time comsuming. We were looking for a simple SQL or Access query that will perform this function a little cleaner.
An example of of a rename is as follows: BIN LOCATION - K12A01 rename to MK12A01, in essence all BIN LOCATION's that start with K12 would need to be renamed to MK12. We're not knowledgable enough with SQL or Access to create the neccessary queries, but could handle making modifications to an existing/sample query.
